What do you believe??? At the core of who you are what is your belief system?? Wiccan, Mormonism, Catholic, Atheist?? Maybe more important why do you believe. Can you back up your beliefs with a logical explanation to why you believe.
<p>It's been said you better know where you are going, cause that's where your going to end up. I left high school with such dreams and hopes. What happened, and where am I??? Well life happened and I didn't plan. I'm 48 and stuck in one hell of a rut. I have an awesome wife, great kids, but a dead-end job. Stuck in a going nowhere position, though the job I can almost do on auto-pilot. Nothing really against O'Reilly Auto Parts, I just don't the corporate green Kool-Aid. But I never thought I would be here. Then I type that last sentence and wonder how I could think that since its exactly my decisions or at times lack thereof that put me here. So really I've no one to blame but me. Truth been known it has made me a miserable bastard. Inside and to be around. So at 48 I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my life. I know geographically where I want to go and Lisa does agree with me on that. Now I really just need to get off my ass and do it, like Nike....
There are quite a few times where I like to be alone. Out of the noise and busyness that goes on around me. I have enough chaos going on inside my head and that combined with the external at times seem to overwhelm me. When it does I withdraw. Crawl up deep back into my head and my world and shut out the rest. Not good when you have a wife of 22 years and 2 daughters still at home.
I'm sitting up stairs right now by myself. Admiring the work Lisa did on a very cheap remodel of a small room. She did a great job with no money and some work. I didn't help much I've worked 96 hours over the past 2 weeks and I'm beat ass tired!!!
People around here don't seem to understand that. When I get exhausted, I really just want to be alone so I can rest....
Life is like dodgeball. Well I say this because its a pretty good anecdote. I don't want my kids to experience pain, but I do let them. It's part of growing up balanced. Life is painful. How we deal with it is part of our character development. There are issues and situations that are thrown at us. We dodge them or catch them and throw them back. Sometimes we get hit hard and we are out. Sometimes its just a glancing blow, same outcome. You're out. But not permanently out. You can play again if you so choose. At times you get hammered by the 8th grader who's been growing a beard since he was 5 and he drills you. It brings on unbelievable pain along with a large red whelp to remind you of the hit. Me I would play again and go after him. Sometimes I would get him out, sometimes I'm out again. I always played the game. I never turned down a chance to play. Nor did I hide in the back behind others till they got hit and were out. Hiding in the back you cannot really see what's happening in front. Also you don't see clearly what's heading for you. Pick up a ball and boldly start living or rejoin life....
